# Our latest news from the past month

It’s hard to think right now beyond the tragic impacts of the ongoing COVID-19 health crisis. But the world is rightly considering how we can best recover – and, as you will see in our monthly newsletter [Conservation Pulse](https://wwf.panda.org/wwf_news/successes/conservation_pulse_may_2020_/index.cfm), WWF is playing a leading role in shaping these discussions.

Alongside this terrifying pandemic, the ongoing crisis of nature loss continues to threaten everyone’s long-term well-being. That’s why we need a recovery that benefits people and nature – rather than one that results in yet more inequality, more loss of nature and ever deepening climate impacts.

A green and just recovery is what we call this – a message of hope and a call to action for us all.
